It seems we are forever chasing bacon. The morning was spent on a quest to get another famous bacon sandwich, this time at St John Bread and Wine in Spitalfields. As it was before 8am on a Saturday morning, the streets of the City of London were deserted. We also failed to check the opening times and soon realised that our bacon sandwich was not to be, given St John was not open until noon.
As we were close to the river, we decided to jump on the bus and cross over to Borough Market.
Tate Modern
We couldn’t be this side of the river and not visit the Tate. Dave hadn’t visited before so we spent an hour or so wandering through the weird and wonderful permanent galleries before heading back to Soho to meet Steph’s friend from uni days, James.
After another day of approximately 30,000 steps, we called it a day at The Rockwell cocktail bar opposite our accommodation - which was just gorgeous and the perfect end to another day in London.
